This striking vase is bursting with subtle features. Its dark base is unglazed, with only a copper oxide giving shade, leaving the clay’s texture exposed, whilst the smooth ribbed and glazed collar offers an earthy, moody green. From the curved inscription on the lower section, to the mottled inside, this piece invites both the eye and the fingers.
