Thrown by Nicky Appleby and engraved by Julia, this vase reminds me of the small birds picking through the flower beds here at the pottery. Topped with a chattered rim in black, and communicated in Julia's unique style, a truly one of a kind collaboration. Standing 18cm by 18cm it is also one of Nicky's very first 'moon' style vases of balanced proportion, thrown by eye only.
