The son of Andrew, and born here in Orkney, Nicky has spent the bulk of his adulthood away from the isles working in Retail and Cafe management as well as Events.
He returned to Orkney during the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020. Having studiously avoided ceramics his whole life, he began experimenting in October of 2020, and joined the family business in May 2022. Although Nicky is learning the art, his main role is to run and administrate the business. Not to say he doesn't get his hands dirty, aiding with many apprentice tasks such as preparing clay, packing and unpacking kilns, and his growing skill as a potter.
